I'm Julian, a photographer, husband and father of three.
Welcome
Vanessa and Alex had their spring wedding at the carriage house in Conroe. Furthermore, this was very dear and special to us, being that Alex has been Julian’s friend for many years. We were very excited and honored when they reached out to ask if we could capture their beautiful day; of course, we said yes. The day was a Spring day with a bit of rain in the forecast and a lot of love in the atmosphere. The Carriage House is a lovely venue located in Conroe, Texas and is a true representation of Texan architecture with a perfect balance of country and elegance. The venue featured gorgeous rustic decor with custom built farm tables decorated with greenery and pink roses.
Upon arriving, Julian and I went straight to business. We began with the details. Vanessa provided several memorable items including: the rings, perfume, bridal heels, a beautiful jewelry box, among other things. The jewelry box was a gift from Alex to Vanessa and it had an inscription that read, “Vanessa, the jewels in here pale in comparison to our love”. What a beautiful gift. Soon after, I made my way over to the bridal suite to capture candid photos of all the beautiful ladies getting ready. Nevertheless, I couldn’t help myself to capture cute details, such as Vanessa’s slippers. They were soft and fluffy and reminded me of a bunny rabbit tail! I began preparing the bridal gown and bridesmaids’ dresses for photos. The moment I unzipped the bridal dress garment bag, I gasped. Her dress was beyond lovely. The happy bride’s dress was a strapless mermaid style gown. The dress had a row of buttons that ran down Vanessa’s back and I didn’t miss the opportunity to take some shots for her mothers hands delicately buttoning her dress. And what can I say about the first look with Vanessa’s dad… It was full of emotions and tears of love and excitement.
The ceremony took place in the venue’s vintage style chapel. In other words, the chapel was perfect for light and airy photos thanks to its large glass windows that allowed plenty of natural light to enter. Vanessa and Alex decided to have their dear friend officiate the ceremony. How cool is that!? That will definitely be a conversation starter… I got to marry my best friends. Moreover, once all the guests were seated and the time had come, the wedding party made their way in followed by the dashing groom. With this in mind, the doors opened, everyone’s attention and admiration was directed to the beautiful bride. The look in Alex’s eyes was of pure love. Furthermore, he then took her hand in his and led her to the altar to make her his wife. The reception was a blast! Dinner was delicious and I have to mention that the carnitas served by Suarez Special Events were very tasty and paired perfectly with the made-from-scratch green salsa. The party got started once DJ Shocky began to play. The cake had a light butter cream filling and was deliciously moist.
Without a doubt, the Montgomery Bakehouse did a wonderful job by providing a perfect cake for the wedding. The fun and excitement grew once the 360 photo booth arrived. For this reason, I love taking photos of the guests while they are on the platform posing for the 360 camera. I even captured the newly weds having a blast. To end the night, Vanessa and Alex did their grand exit surrounded by all their guests.
