Welcome
For their engagement session, they chose the beautiful waterway in The Woodlands. If you’ve never been, I definitely recommend it. From the beautiful architecture, to the parks, and to the bubbly manmade river where you can kayak, this place has it all. When we arrived, I was worried about the harsh sun – keep in mind, this was in December, but time of day wasn’t ideal for photographs. Nevertheless, we got lucky with some cloud coverage that would come and go creating some shade. Also, we arranged a plan for us to be able to walk around, and capture their love throughout the town. Needless to say, these engagement photos turned out to be amazing due to the weather, outfits, and of course their ability to have a carefree session without the worry of having me photograph them in the process.
When Carlos proposed to Anai, I was ecstatic for them. I know their relationship will last forever as they are down to earth, and put Jesus in the center of their lives. I was honored when Anai and Carlos asked me to photograph their special day, and of course I said yes! I can’t wait to be able to photograph a person I consider a bother walk down the aisle, and take his new bride into a new chapter of their lives.
So… this was a very special engagement for me, and let me tell you why. I met Carlos back in college in a chemistry class around 2015. At the time, we were in different paths, he wanted to be a chemical engineer and I was pursuing mechanical engineering. Little did we know, we would end up having several classes together, and we would partner up and study those long and excruciating classes. During this time, Carlos ended up switching majors from chemical to mechanical engineering, and this meant more classes that we ended up taking together. Having a great friend who I could rely on for projects, study sessions, exams, etc… was what made us have a great friendship. As a result, we both had the privilege to become engineers.
