Parking at Buffalo Bayou Park can be tricky since this is a very popular location not only for photographers, but for runners as well. We knew we wanted to get some photos of them and all the greenery, so we walked west. With this in mind, we had to be careful not to get other people in the frame, so their placement was very strategic. We walked for about a quarter of a mile stopping at different locations, and on the way back, we were able to capture a few photos of them in front of the downtown skyline. One look at these photos and you can see how it’s one of our favorite engagement sessions ever.
We like to provide some tips on how to get some awesome light and airy photos, and one of the key components is the outfits. In fact, they decided to wear perfect outfits! Ella wore this beautiful white dress and Austin wore some khakis and a light blue shirt. Furthermore, this automatically sets the mood for bright and airy photos. Additionally, they had a second set of outfits, so we also captured some photos with those outfits.
Ella and Austin were one of the winners of the free engagement sessions, so we had their beautiful engagement session at buffalo bayou park. Originally, we had to reschedule their engagement session due to bad weather, but let me tell you… it was worth the wait. We ended up having sunny skies and cool weather, so it made this engagement such a pleasure to shoot. Buffalo bayou park is a great spot for engagement sessions due to all the different locations. Furthermore, you can shoot towards the downtown skyline, or get lost in the trees if you walk the opposite way.
