Welcome
This winter wedding took place at Venue 311 during the 2020 holidays. This day started out with some rain, but we were hoping the forecast was correct, and would clear out by the ceremony time. To our surprise, we were blessed with having some clear skies before the ceremony started. Venue 311 is located in Plantersville Tx which provides plenty of spots for awesome light and airy photographs. The chapel provides plenty of natural light with some massive windows, and the beams provide a nice contrast against the white wall. Furthermore, the reception area is plenty big for medium to large weddings.
Arriving early at the venue allowed us to capture the details, and also some great candid shots. Jen and her sisters were still getting their hair and makeup done, so we were able to capture those special moments. Consequently, this allows us to tell a story of the day. We always recommend this to all of our brides. Additionally, we captured a first look with Jen and her son, and btw… this was one of the nicest moments of the wedding. Nick and his boys were quick and easy to capture, but we made sure we had plenty of shots of them and even took them outside for some portraits.
The ceremony took place in the chapel due to the morning rain. Photos turned out to be amazing with all the natural light coming in. Soon after, we ended up taking some family formals, followed by some bride/groom portraits. We were able to walk around the venue to capture some great shots, but at the same time, we had to be careful with wet soil. The reception was full of surprises as well, from the first dance to the cake cutting, this wedding had plenty of action and it has become one of our favorites. for other weddings check out our blog.
